AUSA Inc Travel Bursary 2012 - Winners announced

Overview

The AUSA Travel Bursary 2012 is intended to recognise and enhance contributions towards the goals of the Association by an individual member.

Two bursaries are available to help AUSA members of at least one year's standing to attend either:

  • USHA (United Kingdom): http://www.usha.org.uk/  
    Spring Conference & 40th Anniversary Celebrations, 17th to 19th April 2012 in Bristol.
  • CSHEMA (USA): http://www.cshema.org/  
    CSHEMA 59th Annual Conference, 14th to 18th July 2012 in Portland, Oregon.

Each bursary covers up to 50% of the combined costs of:

  • conference fees (if applicable)
  • return airfares
  • reasonable accommodation
  • other related expenses

to a maximum of $2,000.

The awardee(s) must:

  • use the funding to attend either the 2012 USHA or CSHEMA Conference
  • attend and present on their experience at the 2013 AUSA OHS Conference
  • prepare a report to be published by AUSA outlining their experiences and benefits from receiving the travel bursary.

The AUSA Executive is delighted to announce the winners of the bursary for 2012 are:

  • Chris Miller from the CSIRO
