"Safety From the Ground Up" was the theme of the AUSA Conference held in Melbourne, Australia on 9-11 July 2013.

Key dates

  • Two optional pre-conference workshops were offered on morning of Tuesday 9 July.
  • A welcome function was held at Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne, on the evening of Tuesday 9 July.
  • A conference dinner was held at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on the evening of Wednesday 10 July. Dinner speaker was former AFL premiership captain, premiership coach and Adjunct Professor at Deakin University, David Parkin.

The venue was the Sidney Myer Asia Centre at the University of Melbourne, in the heart of cosmopolitan Carlton and Parkville.

A range of accommodation options was available to conference delegates, and able to be booked in conjunction with conference registration.
